CSIRO Mathematical and Information Sciences applies research in information technology, mathematics and statistics to solve problems and develop innovative technologies in many industry sectors. The Division has a strong reputation in mathematical modelling of heat and fluid flow as well as excellent skills in industrial statistics.

Deakin University
Deakin University
strives to produce highly employable graduates and research of the highest possible quality in areas of strategic importance. In both its teaching and research the University has forged strong links with governments, with business, industry and the professions. Deakin University's School of Engineering and Technology conducts materials manufacturing and performance research, a University Research Priority area. The Metals Manufacturing and Performance research group is involved in projects related to the in service performance of materials, addressing the tensile behaviour, fatigue and fracture, corrosion and wear. The University’s location in Geelong is particularly attractive to one of the core industry partners of CAST, Ford Australia.

Industrial Research Institute Swinburne (IRIS)
Swinburne University of Technology, has a strong reputation in Australia and overseas as a provider of career orientated education and as a university with a commitment to research.
The University maintains a strong technology base and important links with industry, complemented by a number of innovative specialist research centres which attract a great deal of international interest. IRIS is Australia’s leading organisation for applied research and technology diffusion to industry. Creative researchers providing innovative solutions to entrepreneurial industries has always been the Institute’s mission. IRIS revenue is generated from contract research performed for the mutual benefit of industry, government and society.

Monash University
